Thomas Heatherwick’s Use of Technology

1. What happens when there is no availability of technology, how will Thomas Heatherwick delivers his design solutions? Will he incorporate with his exposure towards making and carfts and materials and intervention?




2. How Thomas Heatherwick’s design philosophy does affect the current and future architecture?
Example: Is this a giant marijuana greenhouse? Because if they put people in it they will actually melt.

3. To what extend does Thomas Heatherwick’s use of technology helped to solve the current issues of the surroundings?
How does technology driven by Thomas Heatherwick’s architecture outcome?

4. How does Thomas Heatherwick exhibit spatial quality in his project?



5. To what extend the use of technology by Thomas Heatherwick creates form or spatial typology as prime?

6. To what extend does the use of technology and architecture design by Thomas Heatherwick benefits the end user?


7. To what extend can Thomas Heatherwick’s innovation address the life-cycle of the building through technology?
Example: How long will that membrane remain translucent before it becomes totally opaque? Is there a way to wash it?

8. To what extend will the end user will be able to adapt with the use of technology?Example: Does hacking a building have different implications than moving furniture or modular wall systems?
